Just my little take on the whole “Conservatives unveil attack ads on Dion” discussion that has been raging around the blogosphere today, and which we discussed on tonights recording of the Bloggers Hotstove (the links to it will be posted Monday AM).
I’ll say what I said to Greg and the others: Its good to see [...]

Harper: Hey Jason (Kenney).. you got extra time on your hands… wanna help us slag Dion?
Did you know that females are birth-giving machines?
Courtesy of Desi/Diane at her site, comes this charming quote from the Japanese Health Minister:
“The number of women between the ages of 15 and 50 is fixed. The number of birth-giving machines (and) devices is fixed, so all we can ask is that they do their best per head,” Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Hakuo [...]
A Liberal’s younger sister in Toronto..
JJ is off to Vietnam for 2 1/2 weeks, but her younger sister is filling in as a guest blogger at her site while she’s away. Go visit and give her a friendly welcome to the world of blogging.
Where I turn computer game reviewer
When I’m not arguing with Blogging Tories or even fellow Prog Blog or Libloggers, I like playing PC video games to relax.
I’ve been very fond of geopolitical strategic games for obvious reasons, and I’ve really liked the Europa Universalis series of games made by the folks at Paradox Software. Their latest game in that series [...]
The 10$ proposed minimum wage will not hurt businesses.
That’s what our friends at Relentlessly Progressive Economics argues here, citing a slew of multiple studies that have been done elsewhere. Some notable passages:
The cry from business and the right that decent minimum wages come at the cost of jobs flies in the face of the simple empirical reality that countries with relatively high wage floors [...]

How unpopular is George Bush and his policies you ask?
Bad enough that a leading US liberal blogsite says this of our Conservative Canadian Government and its decision to apologize to and compensate Maher Ahar for his wrongful rendition to and subsequent torture in Syria:
At least the Canadian Government seems to be run by people with [...]
Partisan Cheapshots and Memory Loss
Today, Prime minister Harper formally apologized to Maher Ahar for him being “renditioned” to Syria via the US on false information supplied by Canada and offered him a very generous cash settlement. Bravo.
However, Harper couldn’t resist getting in a partisan cheapshot during his little announcement:
Although these events occurred under the last government, please rest assured [...]
Mayes: Yes, no, maybe
I guess Conservative MP Colin Mayes feels the hotseat which he’s put himself on - he is issuing statements and retracting them about this Indian “good joke” episode pretty quickly in the press.
First he didnt deny he wrote praise for the joke, but then he had a memory lapse:
Mayes, at first, did not [...]
Alzheimer’s information
There was some really good information in the Star today about Alzheimer Disease - it was an online Q and A forum for people wanting to know about Alzheimers getting to talk to some health-care professionals who’ve dealt with it. I wanted to repost the link here so other people who missed it might read [...]
Overwhelming majority of Canadians want May in the leader debates: Poll
Sure its a poll sponsored by the Green Party, but I agree with Greg Morrow: With this many Canadians favouring May’s inclusion, the broadcasters have no reason to keep her out of the debates. There is interest in May and the Green Party, and they should be given the chance to sink or swim by [...]
