I did a presentation for the Canadian Blog Awards for Best Blog Post Series (which was won by Live From Waterloo for his post “Coming to Canada”). You will see from the presentation I am never destined to be a TV presenter, and I have a thing for dorky techno-geek music (in this case Mr Roboto from Styx). I was trying to parody the “blogger in a basement” stereotype we sometimes get from the mainstream media, but I fear I did it better then I intended

Thank you very much for your presentation. And I love Styx, so "Mr.Roboto" was perfect!
Your video is featured in my blog; that brought me a lot of joy!

You most certainly did fool me. The Mr.Roboto thing I missed first time around because I guess I closed the window too early.

If they don’t get the joke about being in the basement and listening to music from bygone years, no amount of explaining it to them would help anyway. Good job, I thought.
