This is great. Conservatives think people are “scared” of paying less income tax.

I'll assume you're not kidding. The Liberal party has sold you on paying more carbon taxes, but paying less in income tax. The new deal with farmers/truckers has removed some of that, and new tax credits for low-income people removed a bit more.

Middle-class people like myself are going to be f**ked. Believe me, I'm used to it, but damned if I will vote for it.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('16346','Moebius','This is great.
What? No discussion of the most recent polls? Ah, I forgot: you probably don't want to discuss those.

I'll just wait patiently until some Lib-favourable ones come out that you can selectively hold up as proof positive that the Tory campaign is falling apart.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('16330','ALW','What?
A firm pullout date of December 2011 was in the agreement to extend the Afghan mission.

"Our objective is to end the mission in 2011," he told reporters. "We believe the mission could be completed by then."

But a government official later went further, saying: "It's our government's intention that the mission end in 2011."

Revised following consultations with the Liberal party, the motion calls for the mission to be renewed past 2009, but with a focus on reconstruction and training of Afghan troops.

It also includes a firm pullout date, calling for Canadian troops to leave Afghanistan by December 2011.'
