Whoever is doing this is utterly psychotic and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Hopefully it is only a sicko copying a sicko and NOT some coordinated effort -which would suggest a network of demented individuals.

Cutting the brake lines of ten cars overnight in Toronto - and the previous events in Guelph, donèt point to one sicko. It does suggest a coordinated, well-planned effort.

This is weird…Guelph and St. Paul’s riding - totally different regions. Obviously a sick, deliberate plan. I don’t want to point fingers, but it’s really hard not to.

RCMP anyone?

It’s the Conservatives and/or the NDP. Just my opinion but it fits.

“It does suggest a coordinated, well-planned effort.”

If by “well planned”, you mean hitting the bar early so that you are sufficiently drunk to go through with it, and by “well-coordinated” you mean a guy saying “I’ve got these 5 cars, you get the other 5.”

Look, I’m not an expert on this or anything, but I’m pretty sure you don’t need a degree in Mechanical Engineering to cut a brake line. In fact, I’m pretty sure you can cut a rubber brake line with a good pair of scissors.

But I apologize for letting “logic” and “reason” get in the way of your conspiracy theories.

Just disgusting. I don’t know who is responsible for this, but they sure aren’t doing whichever party they support any favours.

16683. ALW said on October 5, 2008 at 2:04 pm

Devin - why? If, for example, they turn out to happen to be NDP supporters, does it make any sense at all to blame the NDP? Of course not!

I have noticed in the Tillsonburg area that there seems to be alot of vandalism toward the current MP conservative Dave Mckenzie. His signs have nasty words drawn on them, hitler moustaches…not very nice stuff…i would suspect it would be the red sign supporters.

This is discusting and criminal.
We need Harper even more, no more “house arrest” for such criminal acts.

I will echo ALW and Devin both. We don’t know the political affiliation, if any, of the perpetrators of this. But given the venom directed at the Liberals by the CPC over the last year, it would not surprise me to find that it was this that motivated the crimes. And when the next car loaded with kids going to hockey, with cut brake lines, careens through a red light at Younge and York Mills, will we pretend that this is the work of a “psycho”? Or will it take that to admit that the political vitriol that has become the currency against the Liberals by, for the most part, Conservative supporters, in the last year?

Garth Turner has been having trouble in Halton as well. this is becoming a pattern. A dangerous one that could easily escalate fast.
